My Whole Foods Supplement Sale Shopping Guide

My Whole Foods Supplement Sale Shopping Guide

It’s that time again…the Whole Foods Annual Supplement Sale!  This sale is a BIG DEAL because it only happens once a year! Think of it as the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale…just with awesome supplements from the Whole Body Department at Whole Foods.

For those of you wondering what the hype is all about, for three days only (8/11 through 8/13/17), all supplements from the Whole Body Department are 25% off. This includes protein powders, vitamins, superfood supplements, probiotics, herbal supplements and more!

PLUS, if you live in Florida or a few other select states (you can check if you’re eligible here), you can take advantage of the whole body benefits card for $30 (annually). This card allows you to receive 20% off all vitamins, herbs, homeopathy, nutritional supplements, and protein powders ALL YEAR.

But the best part? You can COMBINE these two discounts this weekend!! That’s basically HALF PRICE EVERYTHANNNNN!!

So, to help you shop this sale like a boss, I’ve created a shopping guide with my MUST haves!

  1. Gaia Herbs Golden Milk: After I posted about the incredible benefits of turmeric on my Instagram (find the post here), I had SO many of you ask how I add turmeric into my diet and have it taste good! This is my go-to turmeric blend when I want to make a turmeric latte. I warm this Golden Milk powder, nut milk, and any adaptogens I’m feeling over the stove for the perfect turmeric drink!
  2. Gaia Herbs Turmeric Supreme Extra Strength Supplement: Not feeling the Golden Milk latte? You can still get the amazing benefits of turmeric with these capsules! On days I don’t drink my turmeric, I supplement with these capsules!
  3. Navitas Organics Organic Maca Powder:  Maca powder is on my list of adaptogens that I incorporate daily into my diet. Adaptogens help your body adapt to stressors by promoting balance of the body’s delicate endocrine system and because of this, adaptogens help improve your overall health. Maca is nutrient-dense and is a great source of fiber plant protein, amino acids, minerals, and alkaloids. I add this powder to my acai bowls, smoothies, oats, or baked goods!
  4. Navitas Organics Chia Seeds: Chia seeds are a great pantry staple because they can be added to almost anything! Chia seeds are known to support energy and longevity because they are high in Omega-3 fatty acids, protein, antioxidants, magnesium and fiber. I use them to make chia pudding or throw them on smoothie bowls and toast.
  5. Pure Hawaiian Spirulina Pacifica Supplement: Spirulina is considered a complete superfood because it’s surprisingly high in protein, vitamins A, K1, K2, B12, and iron, phytonutrients such as carotenoids, GLA, SOD, and phycocyanin, and of course, antioxidants. Pro tip: a little goes a LONG WAY. It can be pretty potent so I mask the taste by adding a small amount to flavor packed smoothies!
  6. Bulletproof Brain Octane Oil: This stuff is a complete game changer if you’re looking for ways to incorporate more healthy fat into your diet. This oil is extracted from coconut oil to provide a refined, high dose of ketones. Your body is unable to store ketones as fat, and instead, your body burns it as fuel.
  7. Vital Proteins Grass Fed, Pasture Raised Collagen Peptides: Collagen supports hair, skin, nails and joints, ligaments, tendons and is a great source of protein! I use unflavored so that I can add it into hot or cold drinks, smoothies, and baked goods!
  8. Ancient Nutrition Superfood Vanilla Bone Broth Protein: My go-to animal protein because the flavor is amazing and it’s gluten free, dairy free, soy free, grain free, paleo-friendly, gut-friendly and contains no artificial ingredients. With 20g of protein per serving, I add it into post workout smoothies for a vanilla protein kick!
  9. Amazing Grass Protein Superfood (Vegan) Want to go the plant based route? Recently, I’ve been loving this Amazing Grass Protein Powder! It’s sourced from 100% organic, whole leaf wheat grass, barley grass and alfalfa grown in Kansas. It’s obviously a great source of protein (20g) but it also provides 2 full servings of fruits and veggies and 7 alkalizing greens per serving!

Happy shopping!

xoxo Elizabeth
