Acai gets it’s superfood title for good reason. It’s antioxidant benefits are higher than most of the other berry fruits, helping your body fight against oxidative stress. Plus, it’s high in fiber helping keep your digestive system clean and functional. It’s literally the perfect option if you want an immune and beauty booster breakfast!

I used to make acai bowls almost every morning in college, but it’s been a (HOT?) minute since I made one myself and no resturant one hits the spot quite like this one. This is my favorite recipe of all time! I know it might sound strange, but for all your spicy chocolate lovers out there…this is a MUST TRY. The cacao brings out the chocolate undertones of the acai and the chipotle chili powder gives it the perfect kick!

Most acai bowls call for frozen banana or fruit in the base, but I upgraded this recipe to use frozen cauliflower and avocado. It makes it just as creamy and adds healthy fats instead of sugar! ??

  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 2 packets of unsweetened acai
  • 1 cup of frozen cauliflower
  • Handful of organic spinach
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 tablespoon of cacao powder
  •  1 teaspoon of chipotle power


  • 2 scoops of Vital Proteins collagen peptides (for a protein kick)

Topping ideas:

  • Coconut flakes
  • Gluten free granola
  • Almond butter (stone ground if possible)
  • Fruit of your choice
  • A dash of chipotle (for an extra kick!)
  • Bee pollen



Blend together base ingredients in a high-speed blender until creamy. Add a splash of liquid if needed. (The key to making it a bowl not a smoothie is the thickness so it’s better to start with less liquid and add if needed.)

Helpful hack: Take the acai packets and run them under hot water for ten seconds. Then, wrap packets in paper towels and hit against the kitchen counter to help break up acai before putting it into the blender. Wrapping it in paper towels will make sure it doesn’t splatter everywhere if the package breaks (might know this from experience…?)

Pour mixture into bowl. Top with desired toppings and enjoy!
