how to achieve the “just left the salon” feeling

Since I know most of us are long overdue for a #selfcare trip to the salon I thought I’d add my current clean hair product routine to give me that salon feeling. Not sure about you, but when my hair feels good, I’m in a much better mood!

  1. Wash your hair with a #nontoxic shampoo. My current favorite for a #selfcare day is the John Masters Organics Scalp Stimulating Shampoo with Spearmint & Meadowsweet. It’s such a refreshing scent and it makes your scalp feel a little tingly- I love it! // Here are some other great options I have on rotation: Ghost Shampoo, Playa’s Every Day Shampoo, & Briogeo’s Blossom & Bloom Ginseng + Biotin Hair Volumizing Shampoo.
  2. Apply the John Masters Organics Rose & Apricot Hair Mask and wait 5 minutes before rinsing out. (literally SO GOOD- this is the one I’ve been talking about on my stories non-stop). This step is key- trust me. You’ll love how your hair feels after this.
  3. Use a #nontoxic conditioner. My current go-to has been Briogeo’s Farewell Frizz Smoothing Conditioner. It’s a restorative and hydrating conditioner great for fine, medium, and thick hair. // Here are some other great options I have on rotation: Playa’s Supernatural Conditioner & Seed Phytonutrients’ Moisture Conditioner.
  4. Allow your hair to mostly air dry and then finish drying with a round brush, blowing in the opposite direction that you want it to sit. This will help your hair appear thicker & fuller. I recommend the Dyson Hair Air Wrap & the T3 Micro Cura Luxe Hair Dryer. I go back and forth between the two!
